I am a PhD Candidate in the Ortí lab at George Washington University and a former Research Fellow at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. My dissertation focuses on understanding the convergent evolution of craniofacial appendages of African freshwater electric fishes. Specifically, I have tackled this by implementing bioinformatic pipelines, phylogenomics, histology, and genomic methodologies. My expected graduation date is May 2022.
